ACCOMMODATION

Skukuza is the Kruger National Park’s largest rest camp and administrative headquarters. It is situated on the southern banks of the Sabie River. The camp is well foliaged and there are some lofty trees along the river’s edge.  Activities and facilities are diverse, as are the animals and plants found both within the camp and in the surrounding areas. Skukuza Rest Camp is easily accessed by road and by air.

Facilities available include a shop, cafeteria and restaurant, filling station, a laundromat, two swimming pools, spa, nursery, basic First Aid assistance and a magnificent 9 hole (18-tee), Par 72 golf course.

The myriad of birds and wild game in the area is easily spotted by going on bush walks and game drives conducted under the supervision of armed game wardens.

Only a fixed number of bungalows have been allocated to the SACPM 2023 conference and delegates are encouraged to book as soon as possible in order to make sure they get the rooms of their choice.

Accommodation is available in bungalows with either 2 or 3 beds in a bachelor type arrangement (i.e., all beds in one room). They all have air-conditioning and a bathroom and a fridge. Bungalows are serviced every day and linen, towels and soap are supplied, but there are no hair dryers, televisions, alarm clocks, telephones, etc.

Accommodation bookings should be made and paid together with your registration. Please make sure to do your accommodation booking before 31 January 2023 in order to ensure we can accommodate you. Bookings not paid for by 28 February will, unfortunately, be cancelled.
