1 September: Registration closure (CLOSED)
1 September: Abstract Acceptance Notifications (CLOSED)
5 September: Call for Student Posters, Student Poster Presentations (now Orals), Invited Talks/Orals : Submissions ONLINE by 23/9
|  ALL Students: Posters A0 laminated + 10-15 min Presentations (all students now Orals for Poster Presentations) incl. 5+ slides)
|  All Supervisors/Mentors and Invited Oral/Talks approx. 20 mins - tbc
|  Abstract Books into print
17-20 September: Time Slots on Programme - Notifications (ALL student poster presentations now orals: approx 10-15 mins - tbc)

23 September: Student Short Bio + pic to be submitted ONLINE: My Contributions in DOC or DOCX format > note Template
23 September: Student Posters to be submitted ONLINE under My Contributions in PDF, PPT, PPTX format - note Templates

Call for Proceedings* to follow

1 Day before actual Presentation - all Oral Contributions incl. Student Oral Poster Presentations (Invited/Mentors, Students) to be submitted ONLINE under My Contributions > Templates in PDF, PPT, PPTX formats

23-29 September: (deadline extended) Best Essay/Graphics Competition Submission Close - to bring graphic entries for judging + Cash Prizes

28 September: From 16:00 Check-in at Hotel Reception - Matjiesfontein + Icebreaker (early evening)
29 September 09:00 - Registration (Hotel Reception) + Poster Displays up
29 September 10:30 sharp: Conference/WS10 Programme to commence
30 September 08:30-11:30  Special GeoTrail (new) Walk (at leisure) : Prof. Erik Holm (Entomologist, Writer, Radio/TV Personality)
1 October (whole day, evening) Special Karoo Shale Gas Workshop, Field Trip, Farmers' Meeting + Mayor of Laingsburg, followed by a Spitbraai (ALL Delegates)
3 October 14:00: Conference/WS10 Programme to conclude (train depart 15:30)

24 October: Paper submission close - Conference Proceedings to be published

*Proceedings:
This year the event takes the form of a conference and a Proceedings will be published. Papers will be accepted ONLINE until 24 October 2014, and will undergo a double peer-review for inclusion in the Conference Proceedings. Our goal is to get the proceedings accredited at DHET for papers to count half a publication point.
