1. Travelling to Cape Town
- INTERNATIONAL DELEGATES : A number of international airlines fly directly to Cape Town International Airport: KLM, Emirates, Qatar Airways, British Airways, Singapore Airlines and Turkish Airlines. Other airlines fly to Cape Town via OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg: South Africa Airways, Qantas, Etihad Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Air France, and Lufthansa. Flights into Cape Town from other African countries are generally routed via Johannesburg as well.
- LOCAL DELEGATES: There are numerous flights in and out of Cape Town on local airlines. For those driving to Cape Town, the main routes into Cape Town are the N1 (from the north) and the N2 (from the east).
- AIRPORT TRANSFERS: Cape Town International Airport is approximately 25 minutes (17km) from the UCT Campus, and there are many airport transfer options available at the airport. These include a range of airport shuttles, and the MyCiTi bus that goes into the city (Civic Centre and V&A Waterfront) and connects to the CTICC. If you would prefer to arrange an airport transfer in advance, we would suggest Kingdom Tours and Transfers who will be to assist with an individual or group transfer from Cape Town International Airport.
