Description
The South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE) is launching a new National Nuclear Chapter under the Power and Energy Section. The inaugural leadership for the National Nuclear Chapter is as follows:
  • Chapter Chairman is Mr. Dave Nicholls, past Chief Nuclear Officer of Eskom Holdings SOC Limited; and
  • Chapter Secretariat is Professor Simon Connell, a Past President of the South African Institute of Physics. 
The SAIEE Nuclear Chapter will be launched during the SAIEE National Conference, scheduled for 27-29 November 2019 at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg.  The launch theme is entitled, “Taking Stock of South Africa’s Experiences in Nuclear Science, Engineering and Technology”.   
The SAIEE plans will compile and publish the Conference Proceedings in two books;
  • a coffee table edition for stakeholders and
  • an academic edition for libraries.
