Description

We develop a collective field theory of single matrix models using the formalism of Jevicki and Sakita in[1] ('The Quantum Collective Field Method and its Application to the Planar Limit'), with Schur polynomials as collective fields. The highly nontrivial Jacobian associated with the change of variables required to obtain the collective field Hamiltonian, is found using group representation theory
