DESCRIPTION:28th IUPAP Conference on Computational Physics in 2016 \n\n
\n The Conference on Computational Physics (CCP) is held every year un
der the auspices of the C20 Commission for Computational Physics of the In
ternational Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP).\n \n The purp
ose of the conference series is to bring together computational scientists
\, leading academics\, researchers and research scholars to exchange and s
hare their experiences and research results about all aspects of Computati
onal Physics. The conference also provides the premier interdisciplinary a
nd multidisciplinary forum for researchers\, practitioners and educators t
o present and discuss the most recent innovations\, trends\, and concerns\
, practical challenges and solutions adopted in the field of Computational
Physics.\n      \n For more than 25 years since its establishment\,
this important conference had not come to Africa. In 2013 the South Africa
n Institute of Physics (SAIP)\, through the leadership of Prof Nithaya Che
tty successfully bid for this prestigious conference to be brought to Afri
ca for the first time. Hence the 2016 International Conference on Computat
ional Physics (CCP2016) will be held in South Africa.\n     \n All are
as of Computational Physics will be covered\, including Statistical Physic
 s\, Complex System and non-linear dynamics\, Soft Matters\, Polymers and B
iological Physics\, Computational Biology\, Quantum Many Body and Strongly
Correlated Systems\, Material and Nano Sciences\, Quantum Computing\, Ast
 rophysics and Space Physics\, Plasma\, Gravitation and Cosmology\, Atomic\
, Molecular and Optical Physics\, High Energy\, Nuclear and Particle physi
cs\, Fluid Dynamics\, Oceanography and Climate modelling\, Geophysics and
Geomechanics\, Computational Physics Education\, Software and Hardware Dev
elopment. Now that South Africa is co-hosting the Square Kilometre Array (
SKA) which\, when completed in 2022\, will be the world's largest scientif
ic experiment\, there will be a special session on computational astrophys
ics and big data astronomy at CCP2016.\n\nConference Format\n\n The con
ference format will include plenary lectures (1 hours each)\, and parallel
sessions comprising invited talks (30 min each) and contributed talks (20
min each) as well as poster presentations.\n     \n\n IMPORTANT NOTIC
