 This seminal session has two parts.\nPart 1 will launch and premiere the L
 etters of Support for the AfLS\, received from Institutions and light sour
 ces\, world wide. Also included are the MoUs and MoAs concluded so far. Th
 e AfLS is both an organisation and a broad umbrella for organisations that
  all share a vision of the AfLS. \nPart 2 will be an opportunity for Direc
 tors of selected Light Sources to showcase their facilities\, its scientif
 ic highlights and also\, to use the opportunity to pass on wisdom and advi
 ce. The Light Source Directors will consider questions\, and can answer th
 em as a coherent collective\, or in their own way. The questions are:\n1 -
  What were the important arguments motivating a light source for your faci
 lity ?\n2 - How was government(s) and the community engaged ?\n3 - Why did
  you pick the design you have ?\n4 - What are you best highlights of resea
 rch ?\n5 - How has it boosted the scientific community ?\n6 - How has it b
 oosted capacity building\, competitive industry\, asociated science park f
