ight). The session times will therefore be shifted if you are not set to C
entral Africa Time (CAT) = GMT+2.\n\nWelcome to the 2026 joint meeting of
the African Light Source (AfLS)\, the African Physical Society (AfPS)\, an
d co-convened with several other Pan African professional science societie
 s.  We hope that you will join us as we communicate and celebrate Big Sc
ience and Big Goals for Africa!\n\nAdvanced light sources support multiple
disciplines. We have a vision to establish an advanced light source on t
 he African continent. \n\n \n\nProgramme Outline\n\nThe meeting program w
ill cover a broad range of topics in different tracks. \n\n\n	\n \n Tra
 ck 1 : AfLS :\n 09:00 - 17:30 CAT/GMT+2\n \n \n Track 2 : AfPS :\n

\n\nThe format of this exciting online meeting will allow attendees to t
ake full advantage of the overlap between the different participating orga
nizations. All registrants will be able to attend sessions in any track wi
th a single registration.\n\nContributed oral presentations and posters ar
e welcome. Please identify the track of your participation at the regist
ration and abstract submission phases. \n\nThe programme details\, as the

gister and then apply using the link in the left panel.\n\nParticipation\n
\nThe Joint Organizing Committee of this meeting observes the basic policy
of non-discrimination and affirms the right and freedom of scientists to
associate in international scientific activity without regard to factors s
 uch as ethnic origin\, religion\, citizenship\, language\, political stanc
e\, gender\, sex or age\, in accordance with the Statutes of the Internati
onal Council for Science.\n\nNo barriers\, which would prevent the partici
