Looking for an influence of antineutrinos on a beta plus source- long term measurements at Koeberg power station.
Presented by Dr. Frederick David SMIT on 8 Jul 2014 from 10:20 to 10:40
Type: Oral Presentation
Track: Track B - Nuclear, Particle and Radiation Physics
Using radioactive sources as detectors for neutrinos has the advantage of being thresholdless. The decay of a 22Na beta plus source some 17 m from a reactor core at the Koeberg power station has been observed for more than a year and over two outages. Results will be presented from these measurements.
