Spectral response as a diagnostic tool for PV and PC solar cells

Presented by Mr. Maibi MALAPE on 14 Jul 2011 from 17:00 to 19:00
Type: Poster Presentation
Session: Poster2
Track: Track F - Applied and Industrial Physics

<p>The spectral response measurement system is an important tool for optimization of solar cells. Its measurement permit an examination of how photons of different wavelength contribute to the cell generated current at zero bias voltage. In this study photovoltaic (PV) and photochemical (PC) solar cells were used and their spectral responses were measured. The aim is to use the spectral response data in order to investigate the effect of shading on PV and PC solar cells. Preliminary results showed that the shading of cells degrade cells responsivity.
